What is the difference between automated and one-off campaigns?

In this article we'll go over the difference between automated and one-off campaigns in PostPilot. We'll also share some examples of different campaigns you can launch.

  • Automated campaigns are set up to automatically send a card as soon as a customer meets your segment criteria, for as long as you keep that campaign in an "active" state.
  • One-off campaigns are one time sends to one or more of your customers whenever you choose.

Important: Automated campaigns will only send once to any given customer, even if the customer meets the criteria for the campaign multiple times.

Automated Campaigns

Automated campaigns are a great way to ensure the right message is sent to your customer at precisely the right time. You can trigger postcards to send at key moments during the customer lifecycle.

For example:

  • Post-purchase follow up - Let the customer know that you appreciate them, ask for reviews, or offer an incentive to get that second purchase.

  • Prompt re-engagement - If it's been a while since a customer has purchased. Give them an extra incentive to come back and engage with your brand.

  • Cross-sell / up-sell - Promote complimentary or additional items based on what a customer has purchased in the past.

  • VIPs - Automatically acknowledge customers placing a high number of orders with your brand, drive repeat business, and show that you value customer loyalty.

One-Off Campaigns

One-off campaigns are perfect for when you want to speak to a complete group of customers at a certain time.

For example,

  • Sale announcement

  • New product announcement

  • Holidays or seasonal events
