# Static coupon codes vs Single-Use coupon codes

## In this article we'll go over the differences between Static and Single-Use coupon codes.

Coupon codes are a great way to create urgency and incentivize customers to make a purchase.

At PostPilot we track two types of coupon codes, Static and Single-Use.

If you use a static code, we recommend using a unique code for each campaign you send. That will ensure we can directly tie the revenue from customers using that code to the specific campaign they received.
